Looks nice, don’t you think?
Since we moved here I’ve been trying to figure out what to call these rooms. Living Room 1 and Living Room 2? That sounds too much like Dr. Seuss. And I don’t have any Whatsits that I know of in the house.
We have two “living rooms” in our home. They’re on the front of the house, and open up to each other through French doors, which we keep open. The room on the right houses the fireplace, the one on the left the TV. (This is one of the rooms that got new flooring.)
How about Fireplace room vs TV room? Not getting better. I need help! ANYWAY. With the new hardwood flooring Utah down it seemed like a good time to update the rug in the living room. The old rug was a wool kilim rug that really liked clinging to dog hair and was super hard to clean. It was time to bring in something a little more dog-friendly and also, a little more in line with the style that my home has morphed into over the past two years. I found this vintage Persian-style rug on Overstock.
